Volunteering in Zambia
Zambia is a country of friendly people, natural beauty, heritage and historical sites. We've been welcoming volunteers to this beautiful country since 1958.
We believe in sustainable positive change and ask you to join us to fight poverty, exclusion and inequality.
Welcome to Zambia. It's the best choice you will make!

Our youth volunteers are engaged in raising awareness of sexual and reproductive health and supporting people living with HIV and AIDS. Activities include distributing contraceptives, holding sessions about sexual health issues in schools, and organising football and netball tournaments to help raise awareness of HIV and general health issues.
Young UK and Zambian volunteers live, work and learn side-by-side in teams of up to 24 people on an ICS project. Volunteers gain a unique opportunity to develop invaluable life skills and gain some amazing experiences.
The warm and welcoming environment, especially in the homes where you'll live alongside Zambian families, are widely praised by volunteers.
If you are a Zambian national interested in volunteering, please contact our local office directly.
If you are from the UK, please apply directly through the ICS website.
I have enjoyed myself hugely, immersing myself in a different culture and doing work that I feel really makes a difference
