Volunteering in Myanmar
Myanmar is an extraordinary country that is going through a period of rapid change and transformation. There is huge enthusiasm for engaging with the outside world after years of isolation, and an optimism and huge expectation of change following the elections in November 2015. There could not be a more fascinating time to come to Myanmar and watch a country struggling for change in so many ways.
We are looking for skilled clinicians and health managers, education specialists, organisational advisors, and other specialists to volunteer in Myanmar.
VSO volunteers live and work in a variety of settings from big energetic Yangon to small intimate towns. Working in any context gives you the opportunity to understand the many issues the country is facing internally, far beyond what the media has space to report globally.
Working as a volunteer in Myanmar gives you an opportunity to gain an intimate understanding of this complex and fascinating country, while contributing to its development by sharing your skills and expertise.
We look forward to welcoming you as a VSO volunteer to Myanmar and its wonderful people.
Best wishes
