Around the world we're working to save the lives of mothers and babies.

Our volunteers, partners and staff support the training of frontline staff, improve healthcare management and increase access to vital services.

Without the neonatal unit should would not have survived. Picture taken in the Kangaroo Room which allows mothers to have essential skin on skin contact with their new born babies.

Fatmata and baby Zainab, Sierra Leone

Fatmata fell pregnant when she was just 14. Her family kicked out of home, she then lost the baby’s father to Ebola. She is now being supported by VSO supported Teenage Mother’s School. Fatmata has committed herself to her education so that she can build a better future for her daughter.

Janet spent over a month sleeping outside the hospital while her son was being treated.
